How To Transition Your Decor From Christmas To Valentine’s Day
If you’re like me, after Christmas Day passes it makes you a tad sad to see all of the work you put into your Christmas decor have to be taken down. Today I am going to be teaching you how you can easily transition your decor from Christmas to Valentines Day without having to completely remove Christmas! Have you ever kept your Christmas trees up and decorated with them for additional holidays?
Step 1: Red, Blush, White and Gold are your friend!
If you already decorated your home with these colors you’re in great luck! If you didn’t however decorate with these colors you may need to strip all of the other decor you did use and add splashes of red, blush, white and gold into your “winter” decor to create a Valentine’s Day feel. I love a fun Valentine’s Day Garland or pick added to my decor.
Step 2: Repurpose what decor you do have, first. During this step you’re going to want to take down any Christmas specific decor such as; gingerbread houses, Santa Claus, present themed, Christmas candy, Christmas elves, etc. Some decor you may be able to use and just transition to Valentine’s Day would be; red ribbons, tree skirts (no specific Christmas theme), plain colorful ornament balls, glittery picks, ornaments with the meaning of love behind them such as anniversary or marriage ornaments.
Step 3: Add a few aspects of “Valentine’s Day” into your decor whether it’s on a tree, mantle or side table. Some ideas for Valentine’s Day decor could be; decor with love quotes (stacked books from Sweet Maple Living shop/chalkboard designs/signage), hearts, Valentine themed ribbon, roses, diamonds, buffalo plaid printed items.
Let me know if you take a bit of this advice and apply it to your own home ❤️
